Participants take turns voting on a variety of topics. For instance, in the "Pets" activity, participants decide whether they think dogs, cats, rabbits, and even bears would make good pets. Specially designed color-coded buttons that are included with every CONNECT Signature package enable everyone to vote no matter their manual skill. After participants vote, thought-provoking discussion questions are provided to pose to the participants. Questions are specially designed to be appropriate for people with memory challenges. For instance, one of the questions in the "Pets" activity is "Do you think kids should be expected to take care of household pets? Why or why not?"​

In Artists’ Studio, participants have an opportunity to view a variety of visual art, including paintings, sketches, photography, and sculptures. With each work of art, participants are shown a "Fast Fact" related to the artist or work of art, as well as a discussion question. This activity is based upon Dr. Zeisel's extensive experience creating dementia-adapted tours of art museums across the globe. Even participants who are not generally interested in art often find themselves engaging in meaningful conversations with their friends when participating!

Did you know that in the 1800s ketchup was thought to have healing powers? Or that apples that you buy at the grocery store can be up to one year old? In "Fantastic Facts" participants have the chance to learn little-known facts related to a variety of interesting topics. After each fact, discussion questions are posed to the group. For example, in the "Beautiful Birds" activity, participants read the following fact: "Hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly backwards." After reading this fact, they are presented with the following question: "Hummingbirds like to eat sweet foods, like nectar. Do you have a sweet tooth? Or do you prefer salty snacks?"
